City of Berkeley: October 2 – Reminder of upcoming event, Cal Football soccer game, parking restrictions in place

Berkeley, Calif. (Thursday, September 30, 2021) – The Berkeley Police Department would like to inform the community of parking restrictions and road closures associated with the football game at UC Berkeley’s California Memorial Stadium on Saturday, October 2, 2021 It’s Cal’s comeback game that starts at 2:30 p.m.

Restricted parking will be in effect in the following areas: (printable flyer)

Motorists should pay particular attention to towing signs posted in restricted areas. A map of towing areas, reinforced areas and double thin is attached. Please note that there is no 2 hour parking in the residential parking permit areas listed without a resident permit on match days. Execution will begin around 8:00 a.m. and will remain in effect until approximately 11:00 p.m.

Vehicles will be towed to a temporary lot, located at Fulton Street and Bancroft Way (west of Edwards Stadium). If you discover that your vehicle has been towed, please go to the field to pick it up.

  • Northbound traffic on Piedmont Avenue at Bancroft Way (around 12:30 p.m.)
  • Eastbound traffic on Durant Avenue at College Avenue (around 12:30 p.m.)
  • Northbound and Eastbound traffic on Piedmont Avenue at Channing Way (around 12:30 p.m.)
  • Access to the Panoramic Way and Dwight / Hillside neighborhoods will be restricted to residents.
