Release date, price and features of the new football game

We are getting closer and closer to the release of UFL, the new name in the football video game market.

Details on the new title are still emerging, but here’s everything we know so far…

UFL is a brand new football video game developed by Strikerz Inc. It was announced at gamescom in Cologne in August 2021 and anticipation has been building for its release ever since.

Strikerz Inc. has teamed up with FIFPRO, an organization that represents 65,000 professional footballers, as well as analytics firm InStat, for the title.

Strikerz Inc. has yet to announce a release date for UFL, and they are keeping a tight lid on it. Be sure to check back here for updates when we receive confirmation.

UFL is expected to be a free-to-play title, likely with some in-app purchases. Strikerz Inc. recently confirmed this in a press release.

“The game will be available for free and we will regularly add new features and updates without mandatory payments or annual fees,” it reads.

“The game is designed to be a fair experience that involves a skill-based approach and no pay-to-win options.”

Again, Strikerz Inc. has yet to confirm what you will be able to play UFL on. However, since their press release uses the phrase “consoles”, we can safely assume that it will be on the following formats:

A PC version also seems likely.

The UFL allows players to create their own football clubs made up of more than 5,000 licensed footballers.

Users will be able to compete against opponents from around the world in a range of game modes. These include online and offline 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 matches. There will also be a “Missions & Challenges” mode, with more details to come soon.

UFL’s flagship mode has also been compared to FIFA’s Ultimate Team series.

The following clubs are fully licensed on the UFL:

In addition to having eight fully licensed clubs, the UFL has also secured the endorsement of a series of top players.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kevin De Bruyne all announced the game on their social media, and they also appeared in the gameplay trailer which was released in January.
